Comments

Comments:
Shab Mohammadi - ITIS Data Development Technician: Zoonomen, The Howard and Moore Complete Checklist of the Birds of the World, 3rd edition, and Handbook of the Birds of the World all use Tachymarptus melba (Linnaeus, 1758) (TSN 693134) instead of Apus melba (Linnaeus, 1758) (TSN 555003). The AOU committee, however, has not yet approved of the change since it was first put into question in Suppl 39/1993 where it was noted as "currently under study." Richard C. Banks suggests to keep Apus melba until further investigation
